Copeland Estate Sales has been in business since March of 2005. We are based in the Memphis area working sales projects throughout west Tennessee and northern Mississippi. My name is Jerry Copeland; I am a native of Memphis. As we enter our 7th year in the estate sale industry, Copeland Estate Sales has risen to the top tier of the Memphis market. We bring a very personal and professional approach, not only to families needing our services, but we also have built personal relationships with our customers in this area. Jerry has assembled many of his family members as well as life-time friends of his family to bring a warm, caring atmosphere to our clients and the Memphis community.

Copeland Estate Sales is fully insured, licensed and bonded. We have been members of the Better Business Bureau for several years with a perfect rating. Jerry is a candidate member of ISA, the International Society of Appraisers, and he is currently in the process of becoming an accredited ISA Appraiser. ISA is authorized by the Appraisal Foundation and is considered as the highest establishment of Appraisal Standards. Jerry is a board member at Memphis Heritage Inc, a non-profit organization whose mission statement is “to educate and coordinate individuals and groups to save, improve, reuse, and maintain architecturally and historically significant buildings, streets, neighborhoods, parks, and cultural artifacts of Shelby County, Tennessee.” In today’s society, there are many considerations when determining the best estate sale company. These include experience, the pursuit of education within our industry, integrity, understanding the changing trends in the marketplace, accountability, a professional and warm staff, and follow through. From start to finish, Copeland Estate Sales is doing this in Memphis.

Copeland Estate Sales is networked in the retirement communities of Memphis as well as with many realtors and attorneys. Our referral network has strengthened significantly the past few years. We have been commissioned with several high profile estate sale projects including the Carimi House built in the mid 1850s which had quite a bit of media coverage; we were commissioned for this project in February of 2010. We also were commissioned to work the Norfleet Sledge estate project in Como, MS in the summer of 2010. Norfleet Sledge, Jr. was a major plantation owner in the mid 1800s; he was very influential as a major land owner, a colonel in the Civil War, and he personally financed the railroad system into northern Mississippi into Panola County. We also performed Dr. Wayne Terry Lamar’s estate sale in Oxford, MS in 2010; Dr. Lamar played on the 1960 NCAA Championship football team for Ole Miss and was the team doctor for the Ole Miss football team. In 2012, we performed an estate sale for the granddaughter of Mississippi Governor Cliff Finch of Batesville.

Jerry is married to Shelley Copeland and has two sons; Daniel who is 16 and Graham who is 6 years old. Jerry’s in-laws, David and Shari Hunt, and Jerry’s brother-in-law, David McCollum are just a few of Jerry’s family members who work with him.
